New compact tile product is a great success |
The Bomarbre-Marbralys compact tile is a marble composite which is vacuum-pressed, rectified and calibrated. This tile (400x400x15 of 600x600x20) can be laid with adhesive or on concrete screed or in mortar. Over 40,000 m² of floors have been laid with these tiles, to the general satisfaction of both clients and architects:

New work surface colours in brushed finish |
Now, work surfaces can also be obtained in a brushed finish in the following colours:
. ref. 1713 crema clara (beige) . ref. 1759 gris antracita (grey) . ref. 1769 gris cerena (grey) . ref. 1718 marron glacé (brown) . ref. 1782 negro sepia (black)
These work surfaces have all the technical specifications of the Privilege work surface, but also have a brushed finish instead of honed or polished. The result is a beautiful rustic structure that is highly recommended for country homes and combines wonderfully with cottage style.

Batibouw another big hit this year |
Once again, the traditional Batibouw exhibition attracted crowds of visitors. Bomarbre-Marbralys presented its whole range, with particular attention to the kitchen work surfaces, and our new product the “compact tile”. This compact tile is produced with the innovative process (vibrocompacting under a vacuum) which enables the proportion of stone in the product to be maximised and bind the cement with as little water as possible. The result is a very homogeneous and compact mixture which maximized more beautiful and extra durable tiles. This cement-bonded tile differs from the classic marble composite tile due to its:
• composition: the tile is monolithic, and no concrete layer is necessary; • porosity: 3.6 to 4% instead of 6% • thickness: 15mm calibrated instead of 30mm
The compact tile can be laid traditionally in mortar or glued onto a sand-cement floor.
